The aquarium is an homage to our founders, Art and Inge Rewinkel, who loved the ocean.
The tank is 500 gallons and weighs several tons.
The sea coral are "farmed" from and to other fish tanks in Colorado!
The "fish closet" produces more than 150 gallons of sea water every week!
Just the sand weights over 400 lbs!

Our Hawkfish cannot float! Although he can swim fast when he wants to eat. Usually you will see him hang on the coral. He is meditative and calm.

Clownfish have a symbiotic relationship with poisonous anemone. Clownfish fertilize the anemone. All Clownfish are born male, and some change their sex. Once they become female, they cannot become male again. We have a pair of Clownfish, one female and one male.

This is funny. Fish pull up to the cleaner shrimp like you would pull into a car wash. The shrimp clean the bacteria, algae and other stuff off the fish!
