For over 34 years, Dave Stevens has been providing the highest level of financial planning services to businesses, families, and individuals. With a background in accounting and auditing in industry and “big four” public accounting environments, Dave quickly realized his passion lay in helping clients achieve their financial goals. In 1985, he left public accounting to start his financial consulting business. His areas of expertise include a broad range of financial topics, including investments, insurance, among others.
Many clients have benefited substantially from Dave’s guidance over the years. His approach is based on building a trusted relationship, which involves a collaborative examination of the current position, and analyzing this against financial objectives. As part of this work, the client’s progress is reviewed regularly, and goals are adjusted as necessary.
Dave is licensed in Colorado to practice as a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner. He obtained both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Nebraska. He enjoys volunteering his time with various financial and non-profit organizations. He has served on the board of directors for Pinnacol Assurance and their auditing committee following his service as a board member; is past treasurer of the Colorado Financial Planning Association; has served on the Personal Financial Planning Committee of the Colorado Society of CPAs, and is a past chairman of the Society’s Insurance Committee. He participates in community service as past secretary of the Rotary Club of Denver Southeast, and past treasurer of Community Shares of Colorado. He has also served as a board member of Arapaho House and President of Rocky Mountain Rowing Club.
An avid athlete, Dave can be found on the local cycling and Nordic ski trails. In addition, he competes in crew at the national and international levels. A Golden CO resident, he enjoys going on adventures with his wife and step-daughter.
