3 Questions to Ask during Your Mid-year Check-in
The summer is in full swing and we’re officially half-way through 2022. Like many of us, you may have dutifully made resolutions in the new year. As the saying goes, “The only constant is change.” I find the month of July a good time to check in on my yearly goals: we have more information now, but we still have time to re-calibrate.
Here are 3 questions to consider:
- What has changed in my family, work or health situation? Do these changes affect my investment goals, time horizon, or risk tolerance?
- What are my goals? Am I making progress, or do I need to make adjustments?
- Am I making decisions in alignment with my goals and values? This can be a hard one to think about in the abstract. Instead, I recommend doing a quick review of your bank statement and calendar. Look for surprises and investigate from there.
Your financial planner is here to have a conversation about these questions, review your investments as they relate to your personal financial plan, and discuss the best course of action. Our team here at A & I recently created a video that addresses our mid-year view of the markets, and I invite you to watch it here:
